Once you have submitted your loan through the website you can expect to be contacted within 1 – 3 business days, to continue the loan process. Please be aware that from submission to loan disbursement it can take up to 14 business days. 

No Interest Loan
Loans are up to $2,000 to assist with the purchase of essential household items and some services such as medical and dental. Some examples of items and services we can assist with include:

  • Household Appliances, such as fridge, washing machine, TV, Air conditioner etc 
  • Household Furniture such as dining Table, lounge, bed / mattress, cot etc
  • Health and Wellbeing such as mobility scooter, wheelchair, glasses, CPAP Machine, dental, bicycles etc
  • Education/School such as computers/laptops, booklists, uniforms, excursions / camps
  • Car related item such as 12 months car registration, tyres, car Repairs etc

NILS for Vehicles 
Loans are $2,000 to $5,000 to assist with the purchase of a vehicle for essential transport, including a registered motor vehicle, registered motorbike or mobility scooter.  You will need to provide a valid driver’s licence. 

Important to Note:  If you have a current no interest loan you can only apply for a NILs for Vehicle loan that takes the total of both loans to a maximum of $5,000. For example, Sam has a NILS balance of $1,000, he can apply for a NILS 4 VEHICLE loan up to the value of $4,000. 

Items we cannot assist with:

  • Cash
  • Living expenses such as food
  • Gas, electricity or phone bills
  • Debt repayment and consolidation
  • Second hand and refurbished furniture and electrical goods (except mobility scooter)
  • Airfares
  • Clothing (with the exception of school/sport uniforms)
  • Comprehensive or third party/fire/theft insurance
  • Fines or penalties

In addition to the above, additional items we cannot assist with for Nils for Vehicles include:

  • Jet Ski’s
  • Boats
  • Purchase of a vehicle from a partner or spouse
  • Purchase of a vehicle from another person within the same household, or between other family members.

WA NILS
Loans are up to $2,000 to assist with the purchase of essential household items and some services such as medical and dental

NILs4Vehicles
Loans are offered between $2,000 to $5,000 for the purchase of an essential vehicle including cars, scooters, mobility scooters and motorcycles.

Important Note: If you have an existing no interest loan and want to apply for a NILS4Vechile Loan the combined maximum loan amount cannot exceed $5,000. Please refer to “When can I apply for another loan? for further information.

You can apply for a no interest loan with your spouse/partner as long as you both live at the same address. You will need to contact the WA NILS team on 08 9263 2199 to proceed with the application. Joint applications are not available for NILS4Vehicle loans.

You will need to complete a Statutory Declaration form to confirm how much rent, food, bills you pay each fortnight.

No. If your loan is approved, we pay the retailer / store direct. 

By repaying your WA NILS this enables other people to benefit from the scheme. 

If you are experiencing difficulties, contact us on 08 9263 2199 and we can discuss alternative arrangements.  There are restrictions to accessing further no interest loans if your loan is overdue.

• Centrelink Income Statement

• Proof of where you live, this could include a copy of your lease, tenancy agreement, mortgage statement, rates notice or a statutory declaration if you are house sharing / boarding.

• Your most recent power, gas, water and phone/internet bills. If you are on payment arrangements, you will need to provide copies of these also. 

• 90 days of bank transaction for all your bank accounts, including the account your income goes into, credit cards, mortgage statements, payday loans, buy now pay later loans. We are not able to accept phone screen shots. If you need a hand getting your bank statements, we can help. Please email us wanils@anglicarewa.org.au to ask for assistance. We will send you a link to a Free service offered by Illion, where you can consent to your bank transactions being shared with us.

No interest loan is not a revolving line of credit.  If you have paid off your existing no interest loan, you can apply for another no interest loan.

Top up loan (NILS)

If you have an existing loan, you may be eligible for an increase to your existing loan up to the value of $2,000. The following criteria needs to be met

  • The past three months of contracted payments have been made
  • You have not had an increase to your current loan.
  • The total outstanding loan must not exceed $2,000.00. 

A new loan application including a revised budget must be submitted for consideration. 

Important Note for NILS4Vehicles:

If you have an existing no interest loan and want to apply for a NILS4Vechile Loan the combined maximum loan amount cannot exceed $5,000 and that you have demonstrated no missed payments for 90 days.
